LSPCA: donation of medical supplies and IV fluids, including antiseptics, sutures, syringes, gowns, surgical drapes, cleaning supplies, etc.
New Orleans Mission: donation of pillows, blankets, diapers, towels and other supplies to help the homeless, including 70 beds with mattresses.
Rummel High School: donation of medical supplies to support a new medical education program.
LSU Medical School: donation of well over $100,000 worth of medical supplies to use in their simulation lab for training resident doctors.
United Churches of Algiers: donation of adult diapers and absorbent pads.
Iowa flood victims: 4 pallets of cleaning and hygiene supplies.
Access Pregnancy Center: donation of medical supplies and equipment, including exam tables and office equipment.
Audubon Zoo: donation of IV supplies and anesthesia supplies and equipment.
St. Paul, Rummel, Dominican, Brother Martin and Ursuline High School: allows student to gain service hours at our facility, where they learn the value of philanthropy.
Wright State University School of Medicine (Dayton, Ohio): scheduled for a week of service hours each year at our warehouse, again being exposed to philanthropy.
Ukraine: The local Ukraine community requested that NOMMS ship two containers of medical equipment to assist in their recovery and continues to gather medical supplies for a third container.
Individual donations: power scooter donated to Metairie man who after an accident, lost an arm and became paraplegic. Providing wheelchairs, medical beds, walkers, and other medical equipment on a daily basis to individuals who are in need and cannot afford to purchase them.
Hurricane Victims: various medical supplies, furniture and water through local donations. Also, multiple hospital beds, walkers and wheel chairs donated to needy local residents.
Salvation Army: We have donated a total of 33 beds, a sofa and other furniture, including bedside commodes and shower chairs.
As a green organization we make use of medical equipment and supplies that would otherwise end up in landfills.
While our mission is to bring better lives through better health to the needy in other countries we often come to the aid of local families and organizations. We do so with regular donations and by donating what we can in emergencies. Some examples:
