Two or three times a year we send a team of doctors, nurses, and staff to offer surgical and optical treatments to underserved communities in Latin America. Here are our most recent missions.

OUR MISSIONS

PUERTO PLATA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - 2025

The 2024 Mission to Puerto Plata, D.R. brought 59 participants to the Provincial Hospital Dr. Ricardo Limardo, performing 73 surgeries and providing 2,042 patients with eye glasses. There were also 109 consults. The value of medical services provided was over $350,000 and the value of donated goods exceeded $300,000. These services were delivered over only four and a half days.

Situated high in the Andes (at 9,000 ft.!) is the city of Riobamba, Ecuador. With a population of over 250,000, Riobamba is bustling with trades and crafts. The Hospital Provincial Docente Riobamba provided us with four operating rooms where we performed surgeries over four and a half days. There were 43 volunteers including doctors, nurses, PT, anesthesiologists, and support staff. Our medical director said it was the most productive mission to date!
